Rhinoplasty in Miami

Why Are People Getting Rhinoplasty in Miami?

Rhinoplasty has gotten a bad name over the years as nothing more than a measure of vanity. It does change the structure of the nose, and some of our patients use it to get rid of unsightly bumps, lumps, or other abnormalities. But more often, our patients come in for rhinoplasty in order to correct a deviated septum or to correct an injury or birth defect that disrupts natural breathing.

We alter the underlying cartilage and bone structure, reshaping the nose to its desired shape, both for our appearance and your health. More importantly, we are using affordable Miami rhinoplasty to help patients of all ages and from virtually all walks of life.

Who Is The Ideal Candidate For Rhinoplasty?

Patients of all ages seek rhinoplasty in Miami, but the ideal candidate is one who has completed their puberty cycle, which means that their nose is fully developed and grown. We accept patients who want to improve the appearance and/or function of their nose, and we provide special care and consideration for those with a history of nasal trauma, especially if this has caused greater difficulty breathing.

Especially when it involves a deviated septum, we accept patients of all ages for rhinoplasty care. However, we evaluate each case as the unique situation it is and advise accordingly. Some patients do better with a full rhinoplasty while we advise others to pursue a mini rhinoplasty Miami.

Prepare Yourself For a Rhinoplasty Procedure and We’ll Do The Rest
Before you come in for rhinoplasty in Miami, we will sit down with you to discuss your preparations pre-surgery. We will provide you with the highest standard of care, but we need you to be at your best when you come under our knife.

Before you come in, we ask that you stop smoking as early as possible and avoid certain medications like aspirin and other blood thinners. All of these substances should be avoided as they may severely retard the healing process. Post surgery, we will give you the right medications and instructions on the proper washing techniques to keep your nose clean without disrupting the healing process

We know that once the healing process is complete, you will be able to breath easier and feel more confident about your nose. But it all starts and ultimately ends with you. At home, you are ultimately responsible for your pre-surgery preparations and your recovery.

What Can You Expect From Rhinoplasty In Miami?
can be completed in a variety of ways, and we design our procedure to each patient depending on the severity and type of issues you seek to remedy. You will meet with a Miami rhinoplasty surgeon who will complete a thorough evaluation of your chin and mid-face. We then move onto the surgery itself.

We inject your nose with xylocaine to numb the area and epinephrine to minimize bleeding during the procedure. We then make the appropriate incisions and lift the skin off of the bone cartilage to expose the area that we will be working on.

Once the bone and cartilage is exposed, we will remove and alter the nasal bone and cartilage as needed to reshape it to your desired shape that will open your airways. In some cases, we may also use a tissue graft to shape the nose.

Now that the structure of your nose has been reshaped, we will place the skin back over the cartilage and bone for proper healing. The skin will be taped to secure it, and you will then wear the protective splint for ideal healing.

Recovery Won’t Be Easy, But It Will Be Worth It
Immediately following surgery, we find that it is not uncommon for patients to experience swelling or nasal discomfort post rhinoplasty in Miami. To minimize blood pooling and other complications, keep your head elevated as much as possible for the first few days post-surgery. We will provide medications to help you to cope with the pain and minimize swelling.

Over the first week, the external swelling and bruising will begin to subside, and we can remove the external sutures and the splint within about a week. Most patients of ours return to work within 10-14 days.
