Thermi RF Treatments Explained
As non-surgical treatments rise here and there nowadays, finding the perfect one that suits your needs could be a tough decision to make. Thermi Radio Frequency is one of them. How Does Thermi RF Work?
ThermiRF aims to remove excess fat and tighten skin. With the name itself, it uses thermal radiofrequency energy to deliver heat directly to the skin that causes collagen to form and to tighten the skin.

After a small volume of anesthetic solution is injected into the area to be treated, the tiny ThermiRF™ SmartTip™ thermistor probe is inserted under the skin. The surgeon applies gentle movements to heat up the tissues to the desired level. Skin safety is monitored with Thermal Image Guidance™. Most procedures last less than one hour. After the procedure, a gentle wrap is applied and the patient may resume normal activities the next day.
ThermiDry is a procedure used for excessive sweating also known as hyperhidrosis. It involves numbing the skin with local anesthetic and heating the sweat glands with radiofrequency delivered through a tiny rod underneath the skin. It is a great option for longer lasting results and a safe, less invasive way to treat excessive sweating
ThermiSmooth is a procedure used for improving the appearance of aging and sagging skin by tightening and increasing collagen production using radio frequency energy. It treats the area around the eyes and mouth This is the only approved FDA device that has a built in temperature control so you can regulate the amount of energy to tighten the skin.
Clinical studies show that the body responds positively to precise and gentle epidermal heating, for example, collagen will shrink when heated to a sustained temperature in excess of 40°C and inflammatory process is engaged which can stimulate fibroblasts to produce new collagen over a period of time. After applying a small amount of coupling gel, the ThermiSmooth™ hand piece is applied to the skin’s surface. ThermiVa is a new procedure that acts as a solution for the stretching of vaginal muscles during childbirth. It serves as a non-invasive vaginal tightening procedure using a wand applicator to restore both tone and function to the area. In addition to vaginal rejuvenation it will serve to revive atrophied tissues within the vagina, acting as a solution to dryness, incontinence, and even helping to enhance sexual activity. Overall, it will provide stronger muscular contractions that can allow for greater orgasms in shorter times.
Finally, patients should note that there is no downtime for this procedure, and sexual activity can be undertaken directly after treatment. Improvement comes after the first session, though most patients will need a grand total of three sessions consisting of about thirty minutes per month.
